Growthland Welcomes Joyce Ware

Joyce has worked for Mid States Farm Management in Ottumwa since December of 2017.  Growthland recently acquired Mid States Farm Management in December 2021. Joyce is responsible for the daily operations in our Ottumwa office and her duties include: communication with clients, individual farm accounting, farm reports, file-database-record keeping management and assisting with appraisal reports.  Joyce’s business/accounting knowledge is extensive, having worked for the Wapello County Farm Service Agency, the Wapello County Treasurer (property tax), as well as working in a real estate office, accounting firm, Banking, retail and owning her own floral business at one time.  Joyce was raised on a row-crop, pasture, livestock farm south of Ottumwa along with her eight siblings, she and her husband, Tony live on a small acreage south of Ottumwa and they have three daughters, a son and four grandchildren.  Joyce is an avid runner and can be found running on the gravel roads by her home and the levee system in Ottumwa, she also enjoys growing vegetables in her garden, having all kinds of flowering and green plants during the summer and winter months, being outside as much as possible, loves to watch a good football game and is an seasoned crocheter, making afghans, hats, mittens and other items for family members and for her church family(s).
